Individual development plan
Introduction
1. Individual Development Plans (IDP) are based on the competence model.
An Individual Development Plan (IDP) is a set of Learning and Development Events (DE) aimed at improving competence and professional growth.
2. The IDP model is formed as follows:
Competence 1;
- Indicator 1.1 - rating scale, target level
- Development event 1.1 for Indicator 1.1
- Development event 1.2 for Indicator 1.1
- Indicator 1.2 - Rating scale, Target level
- Development event 1.1 for Indicator 1.2
- Development event 1.2 for Indicator 1.2
- Development event 1.3 for Indicator 1.2
A competence can have any number of indicators, and indicators can have any number of development events.
3. Each employee has their own Individual IDP.
4. The roles in the module are as follows:
- Employee - the employee for whom the IDP is created. Can enter the status for development events.
- Manager - the employee's manager. Creates the IDP, monitors its completion.
- Mentor - the employee's mentor. Creates the IDP, monitors its completion.
- Application Moderator - can perform any actions.
Implementation scenario
А) In the section "Settings - Application Settings - IDP," the parameters for creating an IDP are set - who can create it.
B) In the section "Settings - Individual Development Plan," an IDP is created for a specific employee. Employees can also create IDPs themselves from their Personal Account if this option is allowed:
- A name is entered. The IDP is created, then the created IDP is expanded, and all other data is filled in:
Selected: the employee for whom the IDP is created, the immediate manager, and the mentor (if necessary);
- Files are added (if necessary);
- Text comments are added (if necessary);
- Competences that need to be developed are selected;
- Development Events are added for each Indicator (or only for the Competence).
Herewith:
- Competences are selected from approved ones;
- Each competence has its own set of manifestationi ndicators;
- Development events (DE) are formed for each Indicator;
- As a development event, one can choose from the available list or add a course from the catalog.
С) After creation, the IDP is sent for coordination and approval. After approval, it is published and appears in the employee's Personal account.
D) Next, the employee proceeds with the implementation of the IDP and records statuses for development events. The mentor and manager see these changes in their Personal account.
IDP statuses
- Published.
- Not published.
